Lys Arango<\/a> is one of five winners of the 2025 CCFD-Terre Solidaire Photo Award for her project \u201cUntil the Corn Grows Back.<\/a>\u201d<\/p>\n

The photographer has been documenting hunger since her first trip to Guatemala in 2019, which is ravaging the indigenous Mayan populations in the \u201cdry corridor.\u201d In this community, where 80% of children suffer from chronic malnutrition, \u201cI discovered an abandoned land, families surviving while waiting for rain that never comes or for help from a relative who has left for the north.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><\/p><\/div>
