Presented for the first time at the cloister of the Psalette in Tours, and destined to be exhibited in several national monuments, Chantiers ouverts au public : conversations photographiques (Work sites open to the public : photographic conversations) <\/em> offers the opportunity to discover the richness of the photographic collections of the Centre des monuments nationaux with a selection of 26 photographs from “cartes blanches” given to Pierre-Olivier Deschamps<\/a>, as well as to three other photographers.<\/p>\n

These “cartes blanches” were made at a unique moment in the history of national monuments – that of the restoration of these jewels of French heritage with a view to opening them to the public and passing them on to future generations. They reveal in a sensitive way the behind-the-scenes aspects of major restoration projects such as that of the Ch\u00e2teau de Villers-Cotter\u00eats, the future Cit\u00e9 internationale de la langue fran\u00e7aise, which Pierre-Olivier Deschamps has been following with his author gaze since June 2020.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section>
